Shortwave – An AI Email Assistant for Reading, Writing, and Analyzing Emails

Shortwave is an AI email assistant that integrates with the ChatGPT API. It aims to help users manage their emails more efficiently and effectively, keeping their inbox organized and streamlined.

Shortwave can help you read emails, especially long ones, by generating summaries for quick review. It can mimic your tone and style to write or complete a full reply in seconds, saving you time.

When you need to find specific documents, contracts, quotes, or other important information, Shortwave’s AI-powered search can quickly locate the target emails. Additionally, it can analyze your entire email history to uncover hidden connections and trends, which is useful for tracking project progress, understanding customer needs, conducting market research, and more.

Shortwave can also generate meeting invitations and schedule email sends for you.

In terms of inbox organization, Shortwave’s Smart Labels feature automatically tags emails from senders who match certain criteria. For instance, emails from your clients or those Shortwave identifies as likely clients are tagged as “Priority,” while promotional emails or those deemed likely to be ads are tagged as “To Delete.”

The Bundles feature groups similar emails together and folds them for bulk actions like deletion, archiving, replying, or forwarding.

You can also customize email delivery schedules to receive specific types of emails during designated times, minimizing interruptions.

Note that Shortwave currently only supports Gmail accounts. To integrate it with your Gmail, visit their website and click “Sign in with Gmail.” Hopefully, Shortwave will support more email providers in the future. The subscription price is $8.5 per month. There’s also a free subscription, but its functionality is very limited and not very usable.
