AiNex – A Complex and Multifunctional AI Desktop Humanoid Robot
AiNex is a desktop-level humanoid robot, specially designed for education and learning.
AiNex measures 193 * 135 * 415mm and weighs approximately 2KG. Its body is constructed from sturdy aluminum alloy, offering 24 degrees of freedom (DOF) to ensure smooth and natural movements. Equipped with anti-jamming mechanical hands, it can flexibly grasp and transport small objects. The design includes dual hip joints to enhance flexibility, allowing the legs to rotate on multiple axes, which improves maneuverability.
AiNex is powered by a Raspberry Pi 4B and features high-performance hardware such as 24 intelligent serial bus servos and a high-definition camera, enabling it to perform complex tasks like mimicking human movements with high precision. Notably, AiNex excels in mobility and visual recognition. It employs an inverse kinematics gait algorithm that allows it to navigate smoothly through physical spaces. Its 2DOF AI vision camera, integrated with OpenCV technology, enables precise target identification and tracking, making tasks like line following, obstacle avoidance, or tracking moving objects effortlessly manageable.
AiNex supports a variety of control methods. You can operate it via a mobile app (by downloading the WonderROS app on iOS or Android devices), computer software, or even a game controller.
As an educational tool, AiNex runs on the Robot Operating System (ROS), which offers abundant learning resources. Being an open-source platform, ROS allows for extensive customization and feature expansion through community support, providing a robust and adaptable environment for programming and experimentation.
